defence mechanism

sometimes it is better not to feel sorry for anyone. if you feel anything for anyone, they will leave you someday somehow, they get taken away and all the feelings get smashed to pieces until you go cold and numb, just like a stone.

perhaps, you are right. i am such an escapist.

in everything that you do, i hope you can see

haze is a very good excuse to not get out of the house, cancel everything on the to-do list and just hibernate in the comfort of our own house. we did nothing significant this weekend, i mean it is not like we do anything significant everyday but very laid back. we are more inclined to cooking at home, long talks and laughing for no apparent reason. time weighs on those who have it least. to us, nothing is lighter than being our girl; she gives us a feeling of possibility so warm, we know she is somebody more important we could be with than doing any other things. the man and i like how laid back everything is sometimes, no buzzing and no pushing. just take a step back, we all need that, especially with the haze and dengue fevers.

alexis has a very active character; she climbs the ladder, she goes up the chairs and sofas, she stands on the dining table. in other words, everything that are NO to us, are YES to her. sometimes we will pretend that we do not know where she is, what she is heading and her only itinerary is accidental discoveries and some luck. in the course of finding the reserves of strength to explore everything, we hope she can learnt patience to await bigger things in life, to reach for the possible. when she falls and cries with pain, we are her safety net to fall back on. we catch her and cultivate her special ability to believe in herself, to tie that belief to her highest ideals and to try again.

that is what life is all about. you have to learn to wipe those pride, even for just one second.

nespresso coffee capsules

 photo IMG_1743_zps96283330.jpg

i have always thought the nearest i can get to a nespresso coffee capsule is to throw it into a nespresso coffee machine. however alexis learnt her colours and grouping through this little colourful capsules. this session made me laugh a great deal because well, people around me have been all too reliant on electronic gadgets and that making their children learn their ABSs and 123s, it is too easy because they do not have to talk.

love this girl, it was a solid one hour entertainment for me.

her desire for hugs is usually my happiness

and so, last saturday, i woke up to this scene. she was crying for mommy in her toga pajamas (seriously i am wondering how she managed to get her hand out) and i actually found joy :)

there are too many mediocre things in life and to me, love should never be one of them. the unconditional parental love is the fundamental law of the universe. thank you for coming into our lives, you are amazing.
