x'mas dinner

so, on x'mas eve, darling and i were like a pair of bumble bees rushing to supermarkets and cooking for dinner.
we had turkey breast, bratwurst, lamb chop, pizza, salad, roasted potatos, not forgetting irene's pasta, and of cos wines and champagne.
it was our first time inviting people to our house for a meal actually, LOL!

although it was only a small crowd consisting of bingbing, edward, garry and irene,
all were great, at least i enjoyed myself, my stomach was filled, the company was good, everything went great (:

it was a cold cold snowy x'mas eve today.
the temperature dropped below zero degree celcius,
but irene's prawn noodle was a comfort food (:

happy to say, liyi-irene-angel's cookies look so yummy that darling couldn't resist and munched off a couples.
it didn't take me any second to realise that i'm so lucky, i always have him for my bakes (:

this is the funniest cookie making session i had ever experiment.
i'm so surprised by our stamina ((:

.we were working in the kitchen from 5.30pm till 10.15pm,
mass producing cookies, LOL!
BUT,
liyi and i only left irene's house at 2am!!!

the process was busy busy busy, but luckily we had the help of my cookie cutter, liyi's hershey cocoa powder and irene's oven.

this is a big big project for the 3 of us in the house, and we were definitely very engrossed with the chores in the kitchen.
everyone has their own task,
but not-so-secretly, we took loads of candid and not-so candid pictures on my camera.

the cookies came out great!
okie, conclusion...liyi got the most meticulous award! her cookies came out looking so nice and pretty! (:

and most importantly, our hubbies gave the thumb up with big blissful smiles

yesterday was a record breaker for my 1 year in america. i stayed out with irene in liyi's house till about 1am! LOL!

we ate lay's & kueh, drink thai tea and chit chat about everything in our lives! unknowingly, the 3 of us finished the whole big pack of chips - too greedy. 30 more mins of jog clocked for me now ):
and poor irene, her tooth broke into half. OUCH!

yesterday was one of those days that we cooked at home, eat chut bee png with mummy-goh's dynamic chilli for dinner and watch UP.
though darling chef's sticky rice isn't as great as papa-goh's, but at least it has one big fan ((:

my southlake trip

sadly to know, another week is over.
i'm approaching the end of 2009, and my feeling towards it is "SUPER UPSET!"
but i love weekends - they bring me back to life!

it was a random decision to head off to southlake after brunch. without knowing the reason, i fell in love with this place during my first visit early this year and i knew i'll be back again.

with christmas round the corner, everywhere is having sale and everyone is doing their christmas shopping. of cos, this is a good news to irene and me! however, we only left this place with aeropostale and a 7" cheesecake from cheesecake factory. no impulse shopping today as we might be heading off to san marcos during the new year holidays!

so, on the other thursday,
liyi, irene and me drove off to toom's house to learn the art of tom yum!
we went fully equipped with all the necessary ingredients.

we 3 lucky ladies were greeted by a delicious pot of thai dessert upon our arrival (:
and followed by a long long chit chat, almost forgetting our purpose of this trip, LOL! (credits to irene for her reminder)

this is a big project for all of us in the house! the process was busy, funny and super funny! but we managed to master the recipe for this famous thai delicacy within the time frame (:

and somehow, we were so engrossed in drinking the tom yum soup until nobody remembers to take a photo of it, ha!
