learn not to say NO

using the high chair as a support to stand. crawling towards the standing fan to play with the wires. reaching for the table top while using the table leg as a support. how very exciting. i can't help but feel really proud of how far she's gone. her future is so bright :) i do not know what not to like about this girl. except maybe, she has slow growing hair.

i told the man, "we should reduce the times we say no to the girl." and so from tonight onwards we agreed to allow the girl to explore and learn with her own freedom, make her own mess, experience her own pain, all at her own risk. slowly but surely, she will learn. i mean that's how angmo babies learn, right?

anyway on a more uplifting note, i feel somewhat accomplished. rsvp for mindchamp's openhouse on 30th june and that's something. speaking of which, new tech park might be bringing in mindchamps :D

the power of avocados

a reminder to self: stop buying avocado.

because the girl has at least a three month's supply of avocado cubes in the freezer now and i just love to make this nutritional power fruit her daily must-eat, as recommended by ruth yaron, author of super baby food. avocados help her to think better, play harder and learn faster! at least this is what i believe in strongly :)

one of the most important nutrients found in avocados is omega-3 fatty acids. your baby has to get the necessary amount of omega-3's through the foods she eats, as her body can't make them. (an adult's body can't make them either.) omega-3's have a very important place in the life of a baby, as they aid in brain function, growth, and development. omega-3's are highly concentrated in the brain, and are very important for memory, performance, and behavior.

her vegan diet continues

i will continue to put the girl on a vegan diet, probably until she gets to stand up and walk.
thats where all the animal fats will come to use :)

good try

today is an awesome evening with the cutest girl on earth. after dinner today, we tried for the third day to allow the girl to drink from her own personal cup :) it just got better and better each day. she got the man and i smiling like mad :)) i took out our dslr and we decided to play around with her and we sure had one helluva good laugh tonight. this girl never fails to crack us up :D good times, good times :)

the girl will spread up her arms now because she wants to be carried by her mommy. its super duper sweet! yes, papa is right. mommy is getting arrogant :)

our family mutual understanding

tonight our dearest girl made us scream and laugh like a pair of idiots in her room. why? because she chuckled repeatedly in her very contented and happy way when she heard "knock your head!" :D

on a random note, we managed to collect the girl's morning poo inside the toilet bowl for almost four months now. with the start of solid food, she has been having her second poo of the day, also in the toilet bowl, during the noon time. it is probably very uncomfortable for the girl trying to toilet signal us hahahah! and if her clothes were taken off outside the bathroom, she will crawl to the bathroom. the girl just knows that it is time for her bath! :))) kudos to the girl and us as parents, of course!

super happy with the mutual understanding because we seriously feel a sense of achievement. i've never felt so proud of her before, despite saying this a thousand times. awesomeness cannot be described further than now (: she is just amazing!

obstructing barricades not

every sunday, i will give the girl a chance to self feed herself using the munchkin fresh food feeder. this is her whole new way to suck on white potato and carrot with cottage cheese :) the girl is now learning to pick up her own gerber graduate strawberry apple puff and cheerios. sometimes she manages to put into her tiny mouth, sometimes the food got onto the floor. it's okie, my dear, i am sure you are trying very hard and we love it to see your effort :))
