i like no work days, another word - slum-days, well who doesn't? i like being all wrapped up in my blanket like a human dumpling. but in this kind of horrible humid weather, i won't be fussy about waking up at 7.30am, preparing breakfast for darling dear and watching him go off for his national day parade either.
everytime a week draws to a close, i would start counting down to the number of weeks i've got left. the last time i've counted, i have approximately 13 weeks or less to go and that duration might seem like an awfully long time but trust me, the next moment you know, i'll be celebrating ayc junior's full month shower. since i've got only 13 weeks or less left, i figured it's the start of the time. the time to spend tons of money buying baby's stuff and the time, in fact a whale of fun times to decorate her room! :)))

my parents - my heroes
i've never met anyone's parents as amazing as mine. they makes the most taste buds provoking food (at least to me), they ensure i've got enough to eat, especially now i am preggy and they talk to me like i'm still in my 10s. apart from that, they show me what love and humanity is all about. because of them and the parenthood love they have showed me ever since i got into this world, i haven't been a bad bad girl .
i am writing this post blog while my mom is watching law and order, and despite her house is currently undergoing a renovation preparing a new environment for their first grandchild, she still makes time to talk to me everyday. i actually feel embarrassed for allowing these two old folks to run to and fro my house preparing home-cooked food for me. it's really very heartwarming when they talk to me about the history in their life and they are a couple who's gone through so much, who got to know each other at the age of 20 without my dad knowing a word of english and fighting his way up to be where he is right now, protecting his english speaking well-to-do wife and providing for his four girls financially. i've never seen a couple fight harder than what they're doing now for us, ensuring we not only do well, but do great though i think my dad kind of spoils us sometimes with how he gets things sorted out for us because my mom always make us sort things out by ourselves.
tough love, it makes you grow up but my dad and mom, they give amazingly tender love which also makes you grow up.
on a side note, ayc junior will never get a chance to sit in her grandpa's blue comfort cab because my dad is finally retiring, officially on 11 august 2011. he told his friends proudly, "my daughters requested me to retire and i am going to be an ah-gong!"
