a cozy rain

i am learning to quit speeding through life, always trying to do too many things too quickly, without taking the time to enjoy each day’s doings.

with the light rain outside now, i found myself listening for the drip, drip, drip sound. the sound that is a comforting component in my life.

somehow i like cozy rain.
the kind that falls on the day when my darling dear & i could just stay longer in bed, hsving hot coffee with homemade muffins in our pyjamas and looking out the streaked window with complacency.

another "just buy, don't think"?

somehow, i can hear these bags calling me, lol!
but this time round, can i still "just buy, don't think"?

cranberry cream cheese muffins

managed to do some baking today - cranberry cream cheese muffins. these little muffins definitely came out not-so-bad. the sour-y taste of the cranberries goes perfectly well with the cake crumbs. and with no walnuts on hand, i substituted with granola, lol!

3 muffins are now in my darling dear's stomach :D

so whats next on the menu?

there is a story in the buddhist scriptures.

one day, an old man lost a bag of cereals.
he thought his neighbour had stolen it.
therefore, he found his neighbour's look hateful and deceitful.

but when he discovered that the cerals were actually eaten by the rats,
suddenly, he found his neighbour looks really kind when he saw him again.

mr ang, hawker center uncle?

darling dear was on his guard-duty off day today,
so very nicely, he brought yang ping, irene and me to allen and qiao guan supermarket.
and very diciplined, i spent $0 in allen ((:

darling dear whipped up a fabulous dinner tonight - char kuey tiao.
while i fixed up the 锅贴.
everything turned out greaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!!!!
dear mr ang has the potential to be a hawker center uncle, lol!

girls time

yesterday was another chatting, hubby-complaining & cheesecake-ing session with the girls - liyi and yang ping. it was from 1330 to 0000, lol!

recently, we had been getting together talking and shopping. it was real fun hanging out with these girls. at the very least, we understand each other's frustrations, complains, wishes & dreams.

our next activity?
