the girl has been feeling a little under the weather the past couple of days so i took the chance to rest up with her over this weekend. just gave her a face massage until she fell into her deep nap.
the girl feels good, the momie feels happy :)

as said
with this long weekend almost ending, i am going to start missing the bonding times with the girl all over again. i always look forward to such times of the week when our family of three gets to spend real quality bonding time together. other than the weekly monday off, the next long week leave will be in august straight after national day for 10 days.
everyday we have been trying to instill in the girl, that whatever she does, there would be consequences and should she make a mess along the way in things she does, she has to clean up after herself because she's always old enough to. she's still learning, every single day. that she's the master of her own world and the owner of her own dreams.
when the girl needs comfort and hugs, she looks for her mommy. when the girl is in her cheery chirpy playful mood, she looks for the man. at the end of the day, when it comes down to it, all the girl really wants is to be close to somebody. she picks and chooses who she wants to remain close to, and once she has chosen those people, she tends to stick close by. so no matter how long we are away from the girl, we will still be with her at the end of the day - we are her beloved parents. sometimes i wish i am a sahm, staying at home with the girl because i'd love to. but i think it's safe to say that i am still the person she'd always go back to at the end of the day(: our love and bond is definitely not lesser than any other families, perhaps more. the satisfaction i get is beyond words. kinships, the strongest friendship i forged too. and i just want to say, every single second with the girl, they're awesome and i would have love to be part of her growing up always.
we are really proud of her.

a yellow friend
on this very special father's day, as i switched on the yellow karchar vacuum cleaner and started house cleaning in the heat, you gave out a high pitch of cry and quickly crawled towards me. poor li'l girl is terrified of the loud sucking sound. i continued the vacuuming while you held on to my body tightly because you was scared awwwwwww. at that moment, i felt accomplished as your mommy(:
you referred it as a yellow monster. but as i put you back onto the floor, i said, "don't be scared, this is not a yellow monster, its our yellow friend! it helps us to suck in the dirty things." you decided to give your yellow friend a chase. you did not smile but yet, you did not cry anymore. you are a brave girl, i know.
and yes, the man said he had the bestest first father's day ever :D

you are what you eat
the girl is like a clown sometimes. sometimes the tears she shows us, they are probably not as real as you expect them to be but we always get caught in her trap. very willingly indeed. you'll always be beautiful if you are yourself. cliche as it may be but cliches, they are always damn true. trust your mum :)
last night while the girl and i were waiting for the man to make payment in cold storage, a mom with a baby boy came and struck a conversation with me. the conversation was all about questions on solid food feeding. i am not an experienced mommy but this little girl of ours looks good and healthy, at just the right size and feel. i am happy that she actually reflects the healthy food that she consumes everyday. i am proud of her and myself :)

mischievious is starting
while the man is in ndp rehearsal and the momsie is using ipad in the room, the girl is showing signs of mischiefs. she made me laugh because well, it's pretty unbelievable how fast this little girl had grown. soon, she will raid all the things in the house from dusk to dawn, dawn to dusk. speaking of raiding, i've yet to put away fragile items because i looked at the tables and i don't know what to pack. dilemma.
