breaking emotions
i'm slipping like a lego structure you can't add pieces on to because it just can't get any higher than this. but if a piece comes dislodged, the whole structure comes tumbling down even quicker than you can blink.

manly cupcakes
for this valentines day, i am rolling out the beer cupcakes, solely for my dude :)
my thought? these cupcakes are beer-y, rich, very moist and made with lots of love. the beer frosting is dolloped with an ice-cream scoop, manly i will say :) it is divine with butter, sugar and once again, LOVE :)
to the man of my life, i love you much.

on a side note, it is official. the man is leaving for thailand in seven days and it is going to be six weeks without him :((

chinese new year 2013
at coming sixteen months, alexis is such a cheery little babe :) she always has the demanding power and privilege to instantly turn a frown upside down, at least it works on me! she generates sheer glee when i see her entire face lights up with smiles when i give her some attention, cuddles and kisses. we simply love this little bandit of ours ♥♥♥
during this festive season of chinese new year, once again this girl proves herself to be a friendly social creature and probably an attention seeker. she was extremely hyper and overwhelmed when we arrived at different places for house visitings. she is a really active kid and is really different from many children we met in terms of personality, and it shows in the way she behaves. she wants a lot of stimulation and definitely cannot keep still. she can spent ages just walking and running around inspecting each and every corner of the house carefully :)
alexis was highly amused with the relatives and peopple, and i think the feeling was mutual. it was fantastic as they, literally, spent time amusing her. the girl gets trailed around with cameras and she is simply soaking up all the unlimited praises and attention she is getting. sometimes i wish she had a sibling to play and interact with her at home, because she really does adore watching and hanging out with other kids.
during this chinese new year, our bellies were totally stuffed. we had many sumptuous meals throughout this festive seasons :) being a mommy who strictly controls alexis's diet, the girl had to settle on sucking on some baby snack while we get to enjoy the buttery tarts and super addictive pork jerky (bak kwa) :) feeding her oatmeal and yogurt in the morning was a score because she did not ask for more tibits thereafter!
at a tender age, the girl gets to enjoy all the red packets receiving. when she is older, she will learn about what the true meaning of chinese reunion is, which will be even more special :)
