with this, our all time philosophy to the girl - you're beautiful, just the way you are. don't you ever let yourself or anyone else tell you otherwise. do not be afraid of trying, do not be afraid of pain, do not be afraid of failure and definitely must not to be afraid of trying again. so as long whatever you do, you're happy, your conscience is clear and you don't get hurt along the way, it's always okay. be open-minded, suck in whatever you've learnt along the way. sometimes it might hurt, but that kind of pain might force you to grow up faster which isn't necessarily a bad thing. have faith and don't you ever look down on yourself alright? much love.
we brought the girl to dr chen for her six in one vaccination after the man's ndp rehearsal. for a moment during the jab, she froze and couldn't do anything else other than continue staring at the man. in utmost shock, she gave out a big ten seconds cry and thats it! :D the girl made dr chen's jaw dropped with her crawling and standing power. "she is now doing what a ten month kiddo should do, i think there is no need for her tenth month review. but alexis, feel free to pop by to say hello to doctor and i can take your weight and height, hahaaaha. you allow her to develop naturally? angmo way of parenting huh. and are you both not considering a second prodigy? alexis is a genius, very smart! do your bit for the country, hahahaaaaha" the young doctor exclaimed. i found it very amusing to hear the doctor's speech. smart? well, it is seriously too early to say but nevertheless dr chen got it right, all we want the girl is to be happy and learn on a positive note by allowing her to roam, try and fall with lots of encouragement, love and happiness :) a note to the grandparents, with the doctor's verification, it is perfectly fine for the girl to fall and hit her head on hard ground at her height. anyway she kind of left doctor chen laughing at the end because his stethoscope is off his neck and the green pressure meter was drenched with saliva. yes the girl's gum is showing a tiny white hard spot, she is teething!
on a side note, our super active girl is now weighing 7.7 kilo @30th percentile with a height of 64.5 centimenter @10th percentile. now the man is completely convinced and super arrogant that his baby has gotten his gene :)

happy seven months, my dear :)
during the past seven months, it just makes me think that, growing up with you is always a pleasure, a stimulant and a distraction. it can make us so happy yet it can break us into pieces when you are sad. parenting are work, unpaid work, volunteer work. to us, the process of your growing up should grow natural like untended gardens. you neither own a walker, stroller nor have the pleasure to watch tv/ipad but you own freedom, agility and ability to crawl and stand at six months. it's an achievement and we are proud of you :))

an update on singapore zoo
we gave swimming a miss yesterday because the man don't quite like the idea of wearing a swimming trunk. so we decided to check singapore zoo out since it was a weekday and we have our own transport! a potential new playground! we got the girl a nine dollars rented stroller for her beauty napping while most of the times, it was her in our arms :) the older kids kept disturbing the girl because she's an easy target to get wet and i found that quite amusing really hahahah. but still, despite the reluctance to come home at the end of the trip, we are still glad we headed back home because the three of us plonked ourselves down on the bed, it was the best move ever :D
i'm so glad this week is filled with fun, laughter, happiness, the spirit of parenting, many family times and of course, food.

we are going to the zoo zoo zoo
today we made the dearest girl very happy, super high and knocked out. why? because it's her first trip to the zoo! :D we bought her a little tee-shirt souvenir that shows a few bunnies and says "hoppy days with mommy" as a memory memento :)

now that the girl is gaining her freedom by crawling, she sure knows to crawl into the bathroom anticipating a load of fun bubble times :)

a day to turf city
we are doing great and life couldn't be better right now. play today was good because we brought the girl out on a family outing and she's really adorable.
today's been pretty awesome! we woke up at 8 and then we went for macdonald breakfast with the girl :) i ordered hot cakes because i wanted the girl to have her first taste of it. yeah, she likes it :) afternoon was off to fidgets @turf city, the trip down is definitely worth it, because at the end of the day she makes us smile with her silly antics. we seem to be the only chinese singaporean there. expat kids have the bestest childhood i swear because their parents go all out to spend on anything they want. anyway the girl's really nice and sweet today because she's full of her gummy smiles, made no fuss and totally knocked out in her car seat after exiting from turf city :) i like everything about there; the people we met, the kids, the environment, and i freaking don't mind travelling to turf city / bukit timah everyday if i'm gonna feel so happy everyday! and i think it's very sweet of the man to think of buying macarons from et artisans. it's nice knowing that you shares the same thoughts and frequency :)
dinner was all about korean food because the man's craving for his hot spicy tofu soup was so strong that we drove down to thomson road for auntie's kim. more avocado from ntuc finest (the girl has been eating avocado everyday since she started on solids, it's full of fatty acid, good enough for her developing brain :)) now i'm looking forward to another fun day tomorrow cuz we are going swimming! exciting much :D that dear girl is the silliest and funniest ever! she is our best friend and daughter, there's nothing more we can ask for than this wonderful gift.
