i am a dreamer

i will never be normal like some people. i will always be consumed with naive thoughts and perfect ideas and idealistic concepts that contradict with what they believe to be the truth, because they think that is just how the world is.

i think this demonstrates the weak link between them and me.

just stay little

the girl is an awesome responsive toddler now, and no longer a helpless crying baby that’s oblivious to the world and environment. she is just eager to be part of everything – to be in the middle of any situation, to have the spotlight shining on her and seeking everyone’s attention. she gives the envious look she sees other older children running about. my little one just wants to grow up, fast and furious. her yearning to scramble, run around and play with other kiddos is obvious in her eyes and actions. oh boy, i will just wish pray and hope she stays little, forever.

alexis is still on a very healthy semi-vegetarian diet – oats, brown rice, wholemeal bread, tofu, fresh fruits, vegetables, plain creamy yogurt and last not but least avocado. once in a while, she gets her treat of sweets. on weekdays, alexis will have her old-fashioned rolled oats for breakast whereas on every weekend, i will blend up a mixed yogurt milkshake for her breakfast. many times, i will carry the girl, allowing her to operate the blender. from a layer of fresh fruits to another layer of plain yogurt and last layer of her formula milk powder, we watch it turns into a perfect cup of healthy yogurt milkshake. i knew even without tasting it, that it was one of the most perfect breakfast for the girl. she has a wonderful moment of just enjoying her breakfast that we made together, while the man and i slurp down our coffee. it was our sunshine happy family moment :)

perhaps when she is older, she will read this blog and remember how her mommy taught her how to appreciate a healthy meal – with wholegrains, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. and with her eyes closed, totally savouring every single bite of goodness.

the man and i embrace and enforce most strictness in alexis. i was always told that alexis is a amazing girl, but to be honest, we think so too. this girl is very easy to put to bed. i just put her in her jammies, pop her down in her cot and simply leave the lights-off room then she just lie there, and drifts off to sleep. she finishes her meals without much fuss. when it is time for meal/snack, it surprises me that she will push her high chair to the dining table and asked to be carried up, otherwise quietly sitted on the floor waiting for us to hand her sweet snacks. sometimes it makes me wish i could pinpoint why she is so good, but i think it is just because my little one loves food and has a nasty habit of screaming when she can't eat what she sees :P alexis is not at all afraid of strangers. she waves at every strangers and dishing out happy smiles whenever she is not lack of sleep and definitely food. she thrives on human interaction and attention, i guess she is a social toddler and i love it :)

words to decribe this little girl of ours - perfect, smiley, active, placid and HUNGRY :)
