finally celebrating as a mommy

happy 28th to me.

this year is different of course, with a 2+ weeks old baby and confining myself at home. for that one instance, i sort of miss my pre-motherhood days. well, just a tiny little but i'm accustomed to the fact that, being a mommy comes with responsibilities, making that choice, it means i should be ready to shift away from my comfort zone. if i have already made that choice, i have to banish whatever negative emotions that may come along with it but i have been enjoying my motherhood thus far.

so my birthday celebration starts at 2.30am with a mini cake bought from the confectionary bakery downstairs. darling dear got junior to say happy birthday to me but only greeted with a "mmm...", but that good enough! :))

these days, i've been trying hard to perform the role of a mommy, a good mommy in fact. from learning to breastfeed to changing diaper, bathing and getting to know junior more, everyday is just a learning process :D

night feeding

every night we only had a couple hours of sleep. and i doubt we will be sleeping long tonight again. but with all the smiles i'm getting from her, everything is just worth it.
