while the world celebrates christmas and new year, alexis is away in her lalaland since 8.30pm which makes me delighted much!
alexis has her solid and long nap once a day and her night bedtime is just after 8.30pm every night. we pop her into bed, off the lights, close the door and she will promptly fell asleep by herself sometimes after some self-talking-and-singing but sometimes without a peep. i attribute it to the fact that she is so active during the day, so she simply knocks out at night. but occasionally when we had some family outing to attend, her bedtime blasted out to after 9pm. although she holds her sanity together and no hysterics breakdown, i do not have a positive feeling to it. i seriously believe that sleep is necessary for a human body and brain development, especially for a young child. though i am not exactly sure what work the brain does when we are asleep, but the moment she wakes up with a cherry smile, i know she has rested sufficiently and well.
ever since the girl was moved from a cot bed to a single bed, she is most of the time, the first riser in the house. sometimes she leaves her room to come to our room for a morning cuddle and acts like an annoying alarm clock, sometimes she plays with her toys herself and sometimes she ransacked my bags on the table, playing with everything she sighted such as make-up and coins and cards and tissue.
she is so hilarious and merry almost all the time that she makes me forget all the annoying grief that she displays!
