yam rice - another comfort food

it was a long planned menu on my mind to fix up yam rice.

being a typical teochew, i enjoy eating yam, no matter is its savoury or sweet, fried or steamed or boiled. i just love everything about yam!

darling dear loves the yam-mushroom flavoured rice, while i have thumb up for the yam together with the crunchy fried shallots. the only complain is, it was not salty enough but thanks to the creator of soy sauce ((:

corner bakery cafe

it had been quite a while since darling dear and i have our breakfast fix outside.

since darling dear had worked a consecutively 3 weeks of night shift, i presume it might be better for us to wake up early on sunday morning to enjoy the morning sunshine, enjoy our breakfast, and enjoy the snow ((:

so breakfast was all about sandwich & coffee - corner bakery cafe. and being a facebook fan of corner bakery, darling dear and i had received a free panini coupon :D

being not a first time customers, we think corner bakery cafe is still one of the good place to go when you need a sandwich or coffee fix.

first day of spring

on this snowy day, i remember how you used to cover me with the sofa blanket before you left for work, reminding how i should keep myself warm (:
