first night without a bed

my soul has been rather impoverished lately.

i feel nothing except total and complete love for the place i'm currently in. yesterday and today i am flowing over with irritability and so much negativity in general that i am pretty sure it is hard to love anything else. seventy-seven weeks just flew across me, how is this happening!

feelings at the start of this month: apprehensive still, but energised nonetheless.
feelings now: much much more gloom than the way i was before.

how far must i go?
and how long must i wait?

then again, the rain got in my plan to for a walk around st marin.
less than 24 hours to house hand-over, double sadness ))):

4 more days to my departure to hawaii/singapore (chick fil-a, i wish i could pack you in the suitcase with me even when you piss me with all the oil and fats most of the time).

anyway caught a outdated movie - avatar at 9.15pm just now. well well, darling dear and i were the only audiences in the whole cinema theatre, LOL!

Log position - If you sleep on your side with both arms down, you are a social, easy-going person who is trusting, sometimes to the point of being gullible. The study showed 15% of people sleep like a log.

Yearner position - A close third is the side-lying position with both arms out in front of the body, with 13% of partipants sleeping like this. Yearners are noted to be open-minded and still cynical, suspicious, and stubborn about sticking to decisions once they are made.

Soldier position - These sleepers lie on their backs with arms down and kept close to the body. This 8% study is said to be reserved, quiet, without fuss, and hold themselves and others to a high standard. Soldier sleepers have a higher likelihood for snoring due to the flat-back position, which may not cause them to wake up often but may result in a less restful night's sleep.

Freefall position - Those people who lie on their bellies with arms under or wrapped around a pillow with head turned to the side, make up 7% of the population studied. Freefallers are brash, outgoing, and are very uncomfortable with criticism.

Starfish position - Sleepers who lie on their backs with arms up near their head or the pillow account for 5% of participants. These people are good listeners, helpful, and are uncomfortable being the center of attention. People who sleep in starfish position are more likely to snore and to suffer from a poor night's sleep more often.

If you think you are one of those people who move through all of these positions, that's not likely to really be the case. Idzikowski said the research reveals most people stay in the same position all night and only 5% lay differently night by night. Also interesting is that the study showed only one in ten people cover their bodies entirely with a blanket, with most people exposing an arm, leg, or both feet.

USA: cheesecake from cheesecake factory

first thing first, this is 很好吃！
darling dear and i had our satisfying slice of cheesecake factory's original cheesecake in barnes and nobles.
this cheesecake is yellowish in colour, and it looks exactly like any other cheesecake.

the sweetness and the cheesy taste are just alright.
the temperature of the fridge which store the cheesecake must be perfect to make it bouncy yet soft but still able to melt in your mouth.

i know of someone who can finish 3 slices of original cheesecake in one go. (it does sound a little dangerous right?!) but i guess thats the thing that made it outstanding - the not overpowering taste.

last bbq in states

farewell lunchie/dinner had started - not exactly with a bang, but it had been so far so good. well, so good until i really can't bear to just leave (sighing).

p/s i learnt some children's language on sat during daphne's bbq.

shiner bock bread

on last friday night, i was at saltgrass enjoying the beer bread, eating heaps and laughing heartily with darling dear and a few friends. it's such a funny feeling and for that one instance, i wished that time could slow down, just a little. it's not like I really like saltgrass (only except their shiner bock beer bread) or is in love with the idea of spending money instead of making a home cook meal. but it's more like a last meal in saltgrass before i left for singapore.

during this 18 months, i'm accustomed to the fact that, being away from home and living independently with darling dear, making that choice, it means I should be ready to shift away from my comfort zone and away from papa-goh and mummy-goh.

i may have gotten pretty used to living in the states but i will still remember that i'm a daughter, a sister and a chinese at heart.
