alexis is addicted...to yogurt

alexis has her own special favourite food.

it is healthy, white, creamy, full-fat, plain and cold yogurt that she always request for! the man thought that plain yogurt is too sour for him. whatever. this sour valuable health food tasted pretty brilliant to her :) she is a total sucker for it while i am super relax allowing her to eat as much of yogurt as possible :))

happy one year six months

there are so many so many things about alexis that will make one fall instantly and constantly in deep love with this lil girl, and memories to be kept for life. from expecting her, to carrying and giving birth to her, to the absolutely one of the most prettiest face i have seen, to the laughter that she brings, to being part of her growth, and to witnessing her cries and smiles. everything, every single little thing, was worth every second spent.

i could not help but smile to myself whenever i think of all the cute and innocently things that she did and said. be it running across the mall and screaming, or chasing birds, or being busy with playing with her bowls and plates, or getting sunburnt unknowingly at the playground, or flashing her signature smile :)

having no sense of time except for spending all the time with her, holding her hands, running after her, carrying her walking miles and miles without feeling tired, having that carefree feeling as the most wonderful thing in the world,

i would give up everything to be right there for her always.

alexis's progress

i can be smiling for the entire time just by browsing through the thousands of photos taken with the man and our girl. this girl surely has her magic working on me! these days i realise my lil girl now has a mind of her own, desires and thoughts while trying to express them clearly to me. it was just sweet :) i am so proud that people has been commenting that alexis can articulate her words very clearly depite her being at a tender age of eighteen months. i will say alexis's speech is more advanced than many kids her age, in my humble opinion. guess it is because she is a chatterbox! i love hearing her pick up and say so many words and broken sentences that get her point across. it is amazing how much she can understand from our daily conversation :)

the champion moment of the day was alexis taking her vacinnation jabs today, two jabs in fact. she stopped crying because of the clapping and cheering that she heard once the needle went through her skin, making her feel really brave and admired by us who stood by the side watching. she is one brave sweet girl and a very expressionist when she cried out, "doctor, pain pain!". i know it is so superficial but it made her calm her fears and turning all her tears into smiles. alexis at her coming 18th months is standing at 80cm and weighing 11kg.

i have also figured out that alexis is extremely cautious about her cleanliness. she is very unhappy about any body part being dirty, very worried about staining her fingers with pen marks, very disguisted when she sees hair on the floor. i have absolutely no idea how she become like this! alexis is still doing well with her potty training. she poos twice/thrice a day and manage to get her off diaper during the daytime :) sometimes she expresses her desire to visit the toilet, sometimes her pee came straight onto the floor but we are all working really hard on it and frankly, it is not easy but it is nice to get a bit of a pat on her and our backs!

so, this girl has a great run of being an only child/grandchild with maximum attention and time now. i am unsure if she will one day become a big sister but now she means everything to me, and just hearing her utter the words “mommy 抱抱" is enough to melt my heart :))
