a very tomboy girl

the girl has put on 800grams and grown 0.5centimeter after six weeks and one day - 6.8kilo at 61.5centimeter.

she seems to have entered her wonderland and obsessed with every equipment in doctor chen's room, especially the green blood pressure meter. it was funny when doctor chen saw her trying to take my cue of 123 and lifted herself up the bed using her very strong grips. "a very strong girl! very smart! are you going to learn judo or boxing when you grow up? better not, learn ballet okie? you like green and blue? oh, you fancy boyish colours!..." and the doctor-baby talk continues.

just try and do not give up

the girl has been doing this action these couple of weeks. she will come up on fours, move her body from front to back, front to back but like an unstable block of legos, she collapsed the moment she takes a step forward. and everytime she tries to get her knees back on the ground, she loses her balance and fell again.

so naughty girl, what do you do when you're down in the dumps and there's no escaping it? simple; you take a breather, hope that everything will get better and learn from where you left off :)

i'm lazy and i just freezed the girl's brown rice cereal using a ice cube tray :)
that will last in the freezer for two to four months, said ruth yaron - author of super baby food.

finally we can eat together as a family

its pretty obvious how much she enjoys her grandpa-goh's homemade organice brown rice cereal :))



today - the ultimate bum day. as usual headed over to koufu in the morning for breakfast (hahahah we're becoming morning people!), after which we went to the wet market for some pork ribs, minced pork and eggs of all type. got back and tugged the girl for her nap while i prepared her first rice cereal and the man was preparing our lunchie.

lunch time was quite funny. the man said to let her join us for lunch, that is to start her solid food feeding while we are lunching, and that ultimately means the three of us were lunching together as a family :D

and finally a nap together on our queen sized bed before heading over to the man's friend.

i love such times.

holiday starts now!

i'm seriously looking forward to today and the week long holiday ahead! will be off for this entire week cuz we're starting the girl on solid food and it's our dating anniversary with the man on tuesday and his big 33 on friday!!! yayyy finally i get to spend an entire week with my favourites! was in super high spirits today because it marks the start of our break and what better way to spend it than with 2 special people - the man and the girl (:

effecively making use of my time on the way to work :)

say bye bye to nebulizer!

phelgm in lungs had been cleared more or less and finally no more nebulizer for the girl :)

today the man and i brought the girl back to greenwich again and it was an awesome dinner in toast box, really. it kind of left me speechless and tea-drenched at the end but then i found it quite funny, especially when the girl gave out a short cry after she realised that she had done something wrong.

yes, the girl has been getting very super active these days. she likes to turn and twist her body until its quite impossible to carry her without having the feeling of her falling off. she likes to mmmmm and aahhh loudly in her own baby language. she likes to imitate the things that we do and the words that we say in her own babyish way. she likes to signal to us to carry her up. she likes to watch other kids & babies and even attempt to touch them. i like this feeling of her being naughty, noisy and curious nosy. i think this is what it means to grow up :))
